History

Texas Panhandle Builders Association (TPBA) was founded on May 15, 1946. During that time, Joseph Meyerhoff was the President of the NAHB. As for Texas association of Builders, it was being found about the same time. The first Texas Association of Builders’ president was Frank Buchek, he served as president for two and a half years.

TPBA’s first president was K.S Reynolds he served as the local president for just over a year. The association was made up of an exceedingly small number of local builders and tradesmen. In comparison, today the Texas Panhandle Builder Association represents over 400 members from all sectors of the building industry in 26 panhandle counties.
